In 2024, Planet Passionate Communities initiatives continued strong at Kingspan Insulated Panels locations all across North America.

The philanthropic arm of our ten-year Planet Passionate Sustainability program, Planet Passionate Communities provides support on the local level through environmental and well-being projects aimed at helping enrich life in the community.

This year, many team members across our North American plants proudly participated in a wide range of projects to support their local communities in meaningful ways. Our teams devoted their time and resources to fundraising activities, cleanup projects, tree planting, and much more.

Read on to learn more about some of Kingspan Insulated Panels North America’s Planet Passionate Communities highlights in 2024:

Planet Passionate Communities projects were in focus all year at our Modesto, California, plant. In addition to a river cleanup project and backpack donation drive, volunteers remained busy caring for three rescued beehives to help support dwindling bee populations and improve biodiversity. Team members also made the area more welcoming to the bees and the Kingspan community by starting a California natural garden. 

To celebrate Earth Day in a Planet Passionate Communities way, team members at our Columbus, Ohio, plant picked up and recycled more than 400 pounds of waste. Volunteers at this facility also planted, potted, and tied together over 3,000 tree seedlings, which were given away to the community at the Linden tree nursery in October.

Planet Passionate initiatives at our DeLand, Florida, plant this year saw volunteers participating in the annual ME STRONG 5K race to support the fight against cancer and organizing a Humane Society donation drive.

Team members at our Caledon, Ontario, plant showed their commitment to Planet Passionate Communities by gathering gently used clothing from employees to donate to a local nonprofit thrift store, supporting the community and diverting waste from landfills. Team members in Caledon also closed out the year with a blood drive donation.

We are proud of the many 2024 Planet Passionate Communities initiatives at our North American facilities and thank all the team members who demonstrated their inspiring commitment to sustainability and community support through these projects.
