We’re proud to announce the grand opening of our newest Kingspan manufacturing facility in Mattoon, Illinois! This milestone marks a significant expansion of Kingspan Insulated Panels North America’s operations and reinforces our commitment to delivering high-performance products to more customers across the U.S. and Canada.
Our state-of-the-art Mattoon facility is purpose-built to produce the K-Roc™ HF Series, our flagship mineral fiber core panel system known for exceptional fire protection. This product line, available in 4", 6" and 8" thicknesses, is engineered to deliver up to a three-hour fire rating in wall applications and an impressive two-hour rating in ceiling applications. The series offers five different profiles and both embossed and non-embossed finishes, ensuring design flexibility without compromising safety or performance.
K-Roc™ has become the gold standard in fire-rated protection, especially in high-stakes environments like EV battery manufacturing plants and other critical infrastructure. Until now, these panels were exclusively manufactured at our Langley, British Columbia, facility. With the addition of Mattoon, we’ve established a strategic manufacturing hub that allows us to better serve customers across the entire U.S.

To commemorate the grand opening, Kingspan hosted a press conference and ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by local officials, community leaders and company executives. The event highlighted our commitment to innovation, sustainability and regional growth. It was a proud moment for our team as we celebrated this next chapter alongside the Mattoon community and shared our vision for the future.
Our new facility will bring approximately 50 new jobs to the Mattoon area, supporting local economic growth while attracting top-tier talent to join our mission.
