Kingspan and emerging climate tech start-up Seabin have recently partnered up to help repair the health of the local marine environment in Los Angeles, California. LA is the second city after Sydney, Australia, in Seabin’s “100 Smarter Cities by 2050” program, which is led by creating world-first environmental data focused on microplastics and marine litter. Prevention, community programs and cleanup are also included in the innovative model.

As one of the world’s leading building material manufacturers, we at Kingspan have embraced the importance of environmental protection within our industry by launching ambitious sustainability goals within our Planet Passionate program.

On April 13, we invite you to a Happy Hour at Brizo Restaurant in Marina del Rey from 5 to 8 pm to learn about Seabin and its incredible results in cleaning the ocean, tracing debris to its source, and using data to create policy and behavior change on-land. This event is a great opportunity for the green building community to come together and explore how we can take the next steps towards cleaner communities. Seabin’s presentation will also include a summary of how other businesses can build community support, sustainability and nature positive impact into their business models.

Tickets are free, but space is limited.
